Oh to felt...

Of all the fibres known to man...wool, and its counterparts, would have to be my most absolute fave to work with. Felting being at the top of the list, but running close behind is knitting. :)Its funny, i feel the skill may escape me if i dont give it a mention...LOL

I promised my sister one of these for her birthday back in April. Talk about late...!!
The shape you see on the front, the shape in question was to be

a bird...sigh....

I guess its now a fish with little ones in tow....they say its good luck to give fish...right ? :)x

Its a beautiful fish!!
I will have to come up for one of your classes one day, I'd love to have a go at felting.

How did the one you were making for your sister in Sydney end up?

You know, if you had just said "look at the gorgeous fish", we would have been none the wiser! Even though the hat did not go to plan, it looks great. I'm sure your sister will love it.

Oh Debra, I am so sorry! My sister and mum have just bought new felt hats so I must have them on the brain. And until I just looked properly, I didn't even see the spout. I think I was so focused on the bird/fish.. and you can't see the handle. I'm sorry - I feel like an idiot!

So I will try again. Even though the tea cosy did not go to plan, it looks great. I'm sure your sister will love it, and will think of you - and fishes - every time she has a cup of tea!

Again, I'm sorry. xx
