Smalll windows of creativity

going on here
finished my Down Under Doll Quilt for the
Flickr group
a little nervous right now

i loved making this quilt
it has been sent
being a blind partner i cannot show it in detail
i could easily have kept this quilt
just hoping now that my partner shares
my enthusiasm
i incorporated some of my felting
i figured as anything goes these days
that she would not mind
totally enjoyed the hand quilting

sorry for the dark pic here
its so comforting to have a lay back project
a fire and a big soft recliner to go witha cushion in progress
really want o make some longies for a little girl
a decent, simple pattern alludes me
...
absolutely beautiful clear and crisp days up here in the hills at present
adorable
off to check out the vege patch
for more creative yummy pop on over to our creative spaces
groovy day x

Rather than going off on my own

i thought it best to go along with the girls
and boys
Leila of Sewn

has generously decided to host a full year
of learning skills
once a month blocks and skills to go with
a huge commitment i think
and graciously received by me
so pop on over if you too think you could do with some touch up
skills...i know i can
and join in the fun
Leila also has a nice giveaway to have a look at
Thanks Leila, i for one am IN!!
Happy wet cool Sunday to all my friends x

My creative space

consists of several little projects
but first...lets get our priorities sorted
right

this delicious carrot cake
completely wheat and sugar free
super fluffy frosting (and good for you too)
i made for a 'round the table meeting' my boss called
knew i needed something to take the pressure off
seems it went down well
...
a little quilting prep
cannot wait to get the go ahead with this one

a peek at a block for a swap i am in

another block
which at first i was terribly intimidated by
but had so much fun with and will
certainly be making a small quilt for a small guy soon

and of course some hand quilting waiting by the fire
its lovely and cool here in the hills
oh and guess what
quiet too!!!

just a little glimpse of whats going on
truth be told there are several other
projects
strategically put down
waiting for the next 15 minutes and in that corner of the home
enjoy your day x
