Juggling

things a little this week. I am helping out a friend in her spice shop and feel a little robbed of time i thought i had. A little selfish i guess, but you know how it is when you thought you had time for this n that...however...squeezing in a few things each day before work.

Hanging this gorgeous old curtain in my spare room

Love the birdies

Taking down these very formal pelmets and curtains.
Not sure what i am replacing them with just for now.

No worries with privacy here...we are on acreage.

annnnd....wondering what to practice with these...a bit lame looking i think but good enough for a practice run. I am a very excited girl to be beginning my first ever quilt and learning a new skill. I have dreamt of making quilts for my girls for years now....very very excited...any tips??

love the lace panel and your place looks(and sounds fantastic)
exciting to start a new crafting skill. i love patchwork, and for the most part my quilts have been hand pieced. that way i get to sit in cosy corner of an evening and slog away. i did a course to begin with, loved it and learned heaps of great tips. good luck. enjoy

Oh, you're so lucky to live on acreage. I wish I lived in the country and was surrounded by land. (And while I'm wishing, I'd like the ocean to be a little closer, too.) How nice you are learning to quilt! I have wanted to learn for some time, not sure I will ever get to it. Looking forward to seeing pics of your progress.

I am yet to make a quilt so can offer no advice. I am very jealous of your 5 acres though. Imagine the massive sheds I could put on 5 acres. I could build a jungle....yes I know, Im daydreaming in a comment box. I am thinking about buying acreage so you are very lucky to have yours. Its hard to get the right place where you can still get to work and such. Enjoy your Sunday.

Hi Debra
Thanks for leaving a comment about the letter swap. I'm waiting to hear back from Megan, as there doesn't seem to be any way to contact her. But if I do hear back from her, I'll let you know and you can certainly pair up!
have a lovely week

Hi Debra!
I've got a link for Megan now, so I have matched the two of you for the letter swap! If you go back to the post with the list of swap partners you'll find your name at the end of the list.
Happy writing!
